PRADA IS WHAT SHE WEARS!

I haven't felt inspired to write my own things in ages.... Inspire me?

Things that we need to say
Fall through the cracks
Like I love you, I miss you
I hate life with out you
And where have you been my love
I want you back.
So I don't feel alone in the world,
And baby yeah you're hard to get over,
We're older, it's just a little lie we tell all ourselves,
In itself, promise me, let's never get older.

Research shows that you begin learning in the womb and go right on learning until the moment you pass on. Your brain has a capacity for learning that is virtually limitless, which makes every human a potential genius. -Michael Gelb

Human behavior is not random. Behavior follows patterns and these patterns are caused by differences in the way people use their minds.

Have I gone mad?
-Afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret, all the best people are...

Blameless in His sight.

Photobucket

I'm so glad you have a one-track mind like me.

Photobucket

We are more than this world has to offer.

What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.

Photobucket

My life has a superb cast but I can’t figure out the plot.

The world can be amazing when you’re slightly strange.

There is a romance to traveling. It's as if, when you leave your hometown, you also leave yourself behind. You are free to become whatever, whoever you care to imagine. No one can say, "Oh, it's so-and-so, the mom" or "So-and-so the underachiever" or "So-and-so the not-nearly-as-beautiful-as-her-older-sister." You're a stranger, not just to everyone else, but to yourself. You are wide open for self discovery. And, perhaps because of that, you are more open to the rest of the world and its stories.

Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times? As if something were left between the pages every times you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells, and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower...both strange and familiar.

If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.
-C.S. Lewis

“I had rescued the moment by using my camera and in that way had found how to stop time and hold it. No one could take that image away from me because I owned it.”
-The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

“I love to sleep. Do you? Isn’t it great? It really is the best of both worlds. You get to be alive and unconscious.”
— Rita Rudner

“Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what’s to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead of what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn’t have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves for growing up.”
— The Wonder Years

“God is love.” The word "is" grew in significance because I realized that it’s more than just the fact that God sometimes does loving things, but that in every moment and in all things God is continuous and perfect love. If God is love, then that makes me loved, not based on what I do but who He is. If, as the Bible teaches, God dwells within me, then the source of continuous and perfect love is inside me. I don’t need to seek love outside myself; it is present within me in every moment. The more I turn toward God’s love within me, the less driven I seem to be to chase after becoming a “somebody” in the world. I am content by receiving God’s love.
-Jim Palmer

These are not books - lumps of lifeless paper - but minds, alive on the shelves.

Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.

“…I have this strange feeling that I’m not myself anymore. It’s hard to put into words, but I guess it’s like I was fast asleep, and someone came, disassembled me, and hurriedly put me back together again. That sort of feeling.”
— Haruki Murakami

It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things.
-Lemony Snicket

If you want to write, if you want to create, you must be the most sublime fool that God ever turned out and sent rambling. You must write every single day of your life. You must read dreadful dumb books and glorious books, and let them wrestle in beautiful fights inside your head, vulgar one moment, brilliant the next. You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads. I wish you a wrestling match with your Creative Muse that will last a lifetime. I wish craziness and foolishness, and madness upon you. May you live with hysteria, and out of it make fine stories--science fiction or otherwise. Which finally means may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.
-Ray Bradbury

You know when you’re sitting on a chair and you lean back so you’re just on two legs then you lean too far and you almost fall over but at the last second you catch yourself? I feel like that all the time.

It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?

Photobucket

I look into your eyes and see something more. Something deep. You're different. I knew it from the moment i decided i liked you. You leave me speechless. And though i contradict myself, speechless says it all.

Photobucket

I wrote the story myself. It’s about a girl who lost her reputation and never missed it.

If ex lovers can remain friends,
the truth is,
they were never in love -
or they still are..

[display me baby]
i'll be your brand new doll.

don't bring me roses, bring me daisies. don't buy me dinner, take me to the beach. don't call me baby, call me something stupid like pudding. don't burn me a cd, sing to me. and when you want to say i love you - say it in spanish.

aerodynamically, the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that,
so it goes on flying anyway.

But I was already a step ahead. I didn't trust anyone: not for directions, not for rides, not for advice either. Sure, it sucked to be lost, but I long ago realized that I preferred it to depending on anyone else to get me where I needed to go. That was the thing about being alone, in theory or in principle. Whatever happened - good, bad, or anywhere in between - it was always, if nothing else, your own.

Photobucket

I want so badly to believe that there is truth, that love is real. And I want life in every word, to the extent that it's absurd.

Photobucket

You're desperate in finding something else to please you. You've been searching your whole life. Something to mute, change or just distract you. Something to put inside you to give the illusion of life.

Photobucket

I have lost something. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I know I didn't always feel this sedated. But you know what? It's never too late to get it back

Photobucket

here is the truth, one final masquerade,
this is my life, I'm beginning to fade

and its not my fault it’s how I’m program to function
I’ll look at the sun and I’ll look in the mirror

I'm trapped in my own home, if I can even call it that anymore. Childhood memories disappear like dust, monsters in their place. Each creak from upstairs echoes in my ears with the most painful sound.

Photobucket

What do you know about my vision? My vision would turn your world upside down, tear asunder your illusions and send the sanctuary of your own ignorance crashing down around you. Now ask yourself: are you really ready to see that vision?

Photobucket

Every atom of me believes I'll prove you wrong someday. What a day that will be.

Living underneath a gray cloud
When nothing ever changes
I couldn't be any less proud
The heart of this town has grown cold
I'm gonna get out before I get too old
There isn't a better time than now

Photobucket

Maybe this is who I'm supposed to be. This is the role I was given. And I should just sit down, shut up, and play the part.

Photobucket

I hate that time before you go to sleep at night because that's when all the thoughts you've been trying to avoid start to linger in your mind.

I wish that we could just go, to somewhere only we know. A place with no buildings, people, or cars roam. To somewhere shining bright yellow. Just take my hand and follow. Somewhere far but just below. Where treetops stretch their leaves to grow. To the place we love to go.

One of my philosophy professors lectured wildly about love once, yelling:
"When you're in love with someone, that person is the lighthouse of your universe."
(I scrawled it inside Science and Poetry in pencil —lighthouse of your universe—
as if I would ever forget that phrase.)
He was a delightful caricature of his position. I could swear he literally tore
his hair out while howling at us. He went on, "Nothing means as much
without that person." One of the men in the class repeated, incredulous,
half-laughing, "So you're saying you can't enjoy, like, a vacation,
without someone if you're really in love with them?" "Of course not."
the professor replied. "Not completely. You recognize beauty,
but beauty means less if they don’t witness it with you. Beauty is less. You see something
sublime and your first thought is that they should be there with
you. It's not as good without them. They illuminate. They make everything more."

Photobucket

You're magical. You're lovely. Mesmerizing, hypnotizing,
funny and fine. Sweet and well-mannered, thoughtful and kind. You're almost
too good to be true. So tell me what I've done to deserve you.
What could you possibly see in someone like me? I'm silly and hopeful;
illogical and shy.

I don’t just want to be a chapter…. I want to be the whole story.

Mama said there’d be days like this….

Dear 5 A.M: We’ve got to stop meeting like this.

Photography is not simply the embodiment of the spectacular,
it is the ability to make even the most ordinary things seem spectacular.

Fairness doesn't govern life or death; if it did, no good person would ever die young.
